The last of six wonderful carol services for me, at St Peter ad Vincula, Chapel Royal at HM Tower of London this evening, By Kind permission of the Constable of the Tower, The Governor of the Tower and our Chaplain The Revd Cannon Roger Hall MBE, we our truly honoured to have our Christmas Carol Service here. Led by Canon Hall and Master of Music, Colm Carey BMus. The twelve members of the choir sang most beautifully. Lessons read by: Freeman Mike Parker, Clerk Adrienne Harper, my Apprentice, Nacenza Smith, Trustee (and my former Apprentice) Nicolas Markantonis, Court Assistant Simon Green, ASyI, Chaplain Roger Hall. And a poem ‘ Christmas Carol’ by Paul Laurence Dunbar read by, yours truly. We filled the wonderful Chapel with our members, families and guests.
I was delighted to welcome our special guests, Deputy Chief of Mission for the US Embassy, London Matthew Palmer with his wife; Master, Chartered Surveyor, Simon Camomile and his Senior Warden, David Reynolds FRICS FCMI MAPM and his wife.
A splendid service to celebrate the Nativity.
